For the 15th anniversary of LAIKA's Coraline, 30 feline sculptures appeared throughout Downtown Portland as part of Coraline's Curious Cat Trail, a collaboration between LAIKA, Downtown Portland Clean & Safe, Wild in Art, and OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. As one of the participating artists, I designed and painted a Coraline-inspired cat to support fundraising efforts for Doernbecher.
The 10-week, free, public art installation culminated in an auction benefiting the hospital, raising over $240,000. My contribution, along with the other 29 sculptures, was part of this unique celebration of Coraline and its enduring impact.
